White Living Room

It's White Wednesday!

Welcome everyone to our Petite Cottage! I do hope you enjoy this mini tour through our very petite and white living room.

I love white slipcovers! I actually made these myself for my sofa and love seat. They are made out of 100% white cotton, which means they are very easy to take care of. I also used a couple of matelasse bedspreads to cover the seat cushions and arm rests. Hm, I don't think it shows too well in these pictures.

The window you see there is only one of five windows on that wall. Our view is incredible...I'll have to share that with you on another post.

I love throw pillows. Can you tell? I made the one in the middle out of a curtain panel I found at a thrift store.

This is my Big Comfy Chair. I haven't had a chance to make it a slipcover yet. Soon, I hope! In the mean time I covered it with this vintage style bedspread. I love the fringe.

Well this concludes our mini tour. I hope you enjoyed your visit and invite you to come back for another one real soon.
Have a wonderful White Wednesday! And don't forget to hop on over to Kathleen's Faded Charm to see what others are sharing today! Until next time.

I envy your skill at making slipcovers! You did a wonderful job! I have been seriously considering getting slipcovers for my sofa and I don't like any I see at locals stores. I am a sewer but I don't think I would attempt to make them. YOur room looks lovely..can't wait to see the view!~Hugs, Patti

Good Morning Ana, I do love your WHITE...I have a couple of chairs that need slipcovers but they will have to wait until WHENEVER I can get to them--I have TOO MANY projects going on with our remodel, it leaves very little time for sewing. I am in the process of making a quilted duvet cover for our bed and that will be all I can do at this time. HOWEVER, I do plan on doing it!!

I can't wait to see the view from those windows! You are doing a fabulous job on all your "summer projects"...

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ana,

What a beautiful room. I can't believe you made those slipcovers....little slipcover envy going on over here. Seriously, I can't hem pants. You are very gifted.

Your living room is charming Ana! I envy your ability to make the slipcovers. *sigh* Like you, I incorporate matelasse but I'm lazy & unskilled so I just tuck it under the cushions.

Hi Ana ,
I LOVE your living room and all your slipcovers. I would love to make one for my loveseat, but haven't attempted that yet. I do sew as well, but that appears a little intimidating to me.
Have a lovely day!
Blessings~

What a lovely room! Did I understand you right? You made those slipcovers yourself? Girl, you did a great job. I'm having someone make mine because my sewing skills are limited to pillows and simple drapes. I bet you feel so calm and relaxed in your home!

Your cottage is perfectly put together..love all the white. I always say..one day when I am a little old lady...I will own a little cottage done in all whites.

Teenagers, two dogs and a daycare of 6 children..leaves me limited with what I can do white. No white couches for me :(

Wish I could sew slipcovers.

Your skill at sewing is amazing. I've made slipcovers for my sofas and chairs before and how did I do you ask? I hire them done now.

Hi Ana,
What wonderful talent you have making slipcovers. Do you enjoy sewing?
I tried covering my husbands favorite recliner with a sheet, it looked like a ghost! :-)

Hi, Ana,
Loved the tour of your living room! Your whites are charming and elegant, too. I want a white or neutral colored couch. I am looking but the ones I see are very dark. I really like yours with all the pillows.
