Romantic Homes

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/Capuchino_Family/Ana%20Blog%20Pics/Romantic%20Homes/RomanticHomespic4.jpg

It's Romantic Homes sneak peek time!

As always, this month's issue had all sorts of decorating ideas and inspirations.
It also featured a craft project that I just had to try out for myself.

These beautiful embellishments can be found in Gilding the Lily boutique owned by Nancy Jamar. She also has a blog. Click here to check it out.

Ooh so pretty!

The next four pictures are of a beautiful home that is decorated all in a monochromatic color scheme. It's amazing how a single color can create such an impact.

What do you think? Too much white?

How gorgeous is this kitchen? I love it.

The following is the craft project by the very lovely, gracious and multi-talented Sandra Evertson that I mentioned above. It is a "small notebook to record your design needs." It keeps all your home decorating ideas and any information you may need, like measurements, paint chips or fabric swatches. You can take it with you when you go shopping and have all the information you need in one convenient and very chic place. And I made one for myself...do you want to see?

Well, I'm going to make you wait a little bit. I will be posting about it in the next couple of days. Please come back and check it out. :-) Anyway, I do hope you enjoyed your Romantic Homes sneak peek. I can't wait to see what November's issue has in store for us.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Please come back and visit again real soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Oh Ana! No fair! I want to see the one you made, now! I am not good at waiting, I thought sure you would show it at the end of the post, I'll bet yours is absolutely beautiful, like everything you do! The home you showed is gorgeous, especially the kitchen. I LOVE those canisters... I am always writing down everything, I carry notebooks or journals everywhere I go... hurry up and show yours, pretty please??? Bisous... Julie Marie

A great magazine, I don't have this copy, but I need to make sure and pick it up. I also look forward to your craft project. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Marty

Nice. I used to get Romantic Homes but, it costs as much to have them mailed to Grenada as it does to buy a year's subscription. I appreciate your sneak peak into a few of the photos.

Hi Ana, first, I am so sorry about your little bird. We have lost two in the past and I understand your pain. We become so attached, don't we?

The magazine is simply beautiful....the pictures are just wonderful. Thank you for sharing!

Anna with the darling hair. Loved your post. I love monogromatic.

Those spider suckers. My daughter-in-law brought them. I did look close though. Take a round sucker, cover it good with a black shinny material. Twist it to the end so it covers all the paper. Glue a big black bead over stick and material. Paint on the eyes. Then use, what's that stuff called, black and orange and twist around stick to make legs. I guess you would need to do the legs before you put on the bead for the head.

Stay sweet

Romantic Homes is one of my favorite magazines. This issue is beautiful. I love the all white look. I don't think I can pull it off in my own home, but love to look at these dreamy pictures in magazines. Hope you are enjoying your day. Twyla

Buenos Dias Ana,
thank you for stopping by again. Love your visits and thank you so much for your encouraging comments. I'm still hesitating when posting pics as most of the time my photos appear not to turn out the way I'd want them to look and I seem not to master this blog "technology" yet (it always takes me hours before I can post 5 or 6 pics - can you believe that?
Your blog is soooooo lovely and full of sweetness - I guess it reflects in full your gentle, charming and creative personality. Love this post as it emanates charm and puts you in an extremely dreamy romantic mood. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos from Romantic Homes. From Italy I do not have access to such UK or USA masgazines.
Hasta pronto! (just looked it up on the internet... hope it's correct)
