Our Next Home Project

(Where is that silver lining?)

This past week nature has been planning our next Home Project, and this weekend it decided it was time for us to get started on it. You see, it's been raining all week... a lot... which is good because we need the rain, but.......
Carpet and wall were ruined... I guess I can look at the bright side...I have been wanting to rip the carpet out for a while now. We put it in when we first bought our petite cottage 15 years ago, and believe me it needed to come out! No amount of carpet cleaning was saving that baby. We're getting new wood laminate flooring...Yay! Oh! And of course a new wall too. So, thank you nature? :-) It's not the best timing, but what can you do?
I do hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that this new week finds you happy, healthy and with a positive out look. Until next time my friends. Blessings.

Hugs and Kisses,

Hello, Ana,
I am sorry about your home being damaged by the rains, but as you said, you were ready for a change. I think the wood laminate will look so nice. That is what I want to do with my floors one of these days. I looked at your last set of ornaments and enjoyed seeing them as I have enjoyed them all. Such wonderful memories and treasures! Blessings and love to you! Vicki

I agree with Vicki. Sometimes we need a push like that to go on and do what we wanted to do anyway... Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Hi Ana...What can you say...."stuff" happens! When we sold our home 3 years ago the day before the buyers's inspection, our refridgerater decided to spring a leak out of the ice maker line and leaked on our brand new laminate floor and we didn't notice till it started to buckle. Very upsetting. Oh well....the joys of home ownership! Try to focus on the holidays and this too shall pass. Big Hugs~Patti

The bad & the good ... sad you had so much damage, BUT, now you can redecorate ... the mess vs the fun ... & then stand back when all is done, with a huge pleased smile.

Merry Christmas, TTFN ~ Marydon

Sorry that you had all that damage! Bad timing indeed!
I am happy that it was something that needed to be replaced though and not something that was just new or not that old....
Looking forward to seeing the finished outcome...

Sorry to hear about the damage. It may not be the right time for you, but someone thought it was the right time for a change. Good luck with all the work and know that in the end, it will definitely be worth it. Best wishes, :) Tammy

Ana, you and I seem to have so many similar stories! I noticed on your profile you have been married 16 years...we just reached that milestone, your Christmas ornaments are very symbolic of the journies of your family and so are ours and about 6 months ago I was lamenting on the sad state of the carpets in the kid's rooms and then a week later we were flooded with some of the biggest rains in about 25 years! Anyway, you should see the new carpets now!!! And the new furniture! God does indeed work in mysterious ways!

Blessings and Christmas cheers, Natasha.

Sorry about the damage to your home, but at least there's a bright side--new flooring. This is the kind of thing that always happens to us so I understand it well.

Hi Ana,

Sometime things happen for a reason and as much as it would have been a hassle with the damage, I am sure that you will love your new floor and wall.
I hope the renovation work goes well.

Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

wooden Laminate flooring
is a superb choice because, quite simply, no other type of floor covering comes close to providing you with such a wide variety of options.
