My Beautiful Teul

Although California has always been my home, I have always considered El Teul my home too. It is my home away from home. It's my Shangri-la. And here is why....

Love its beautiful skies and awesome weather...During 8-August and September there are the most spectacular thunder and lighting shows at night.

Love its small town charm.

Love its breathtaking scenery...

its history...

Love its rustic beauty...

Its food...
Here's my mami making oven gorditas, a sort of yummy sweet bread.

Yes those are oak leaves... They make awesome baking sheets.

In they go...

And here they are, in all their yumminess, fresh out of the oven....

Love its spirituality...This is the one and only temple in town...that's how small El Teul is...By the way, this is where I had my Quinceañera mass many, many moons ago :-)

I love that we have lots of family and friends there...

This is Irma and her son Beto. They are new friends/family we made while on vacation...Teul has some of the most friendliest and sweet people.

*** Irma y Beto, los queremos y extrañamos mucho.***

And most of all I love that my parents have a home there and that they love living there...for part of the year. We miss them way too much to let them live there all year around :-)

***Mami and Papi, thank you for our wonderful vacation. We miss you tons...Can't wait til you come home.***

Well that's El Teul and why I love it so much in a nutshell...I hope I didn't bore you too much with all my vacation pictures, which by the way were courtesy of my very talented daughter...well except for the last one, I took that one :-) I do hope you enjoyed reliving my vacation with me.

Thank you all for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful day.

Blessings.

Hugs and Kisses,

Hi Ana...Gorgeous photos of a very special place! How nice that you can visit there and that your parents can spend part of their year there! I love to look at the sky and you have some really pretty pics! When we lived in Laredo, Tx years ago on the Rio Grande, I always noticed the sky..it looked so close you could touch the white puffy clouds! Thanks for visiting...I've missed you!~Hugs, Patti
