Buffet, Check!

Yay!

Finally, it's done!

Do you guys remember this beautiful, french style, buffet my sweet brother-in-law Julio gave me as a gift for sewing him a Jedi cloak for his "J" party? Click here to see post.
Well, I'm happy to say that I can finally check this one off my list of things to do... It took me this long to get to it because I just couldn't make up my mind what color to paint it. But then it came to me...so here is what I did.

First I began with a coat of creamy white...

Then I gave it a green-wash using the dry brush technique...

And here it is...all done, yay! I decided to leave the top the original color...I think it gives it more of a frenchy feel...Don't you agree? Needless to say, I'm very, very happy with how it turned out! Can't wait to show it to my brother-in-law and his girlfriend Traci...They've been curious to see what I'd do with it. (Thank you Julio for my beautiful buffet. Love ya!)

Now all that's left to do is decorate, my favorite part! Just in time for fall decorating too.

Happy Autumn Everyone!

Oh, but before I go, I wanted to share with you what I saw out my window this morning at about 6am...

It's the full moon! Unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice, but it was just breathtaking.

Have a beautiful autumn day everyone.

Thank you for visiting today.

Hugs and Kisses,

Hi! Love how the buffet came out! The color you chose is perfect! I have an antique 2 part hutch with hand painted flowers and the original color it is wearing is very similar to what you did. Great job! Just found your blog-Love it! :)
