Coffee Table Redo

Believe it or not this coffee table was left behind by the previous home owners...16 years ago.

However, it didn't look like this originally. I painted it white and attempted to distress and antique it. What can I say, these were my first attempts...way back then...at these techniques. Hee, hee, hee.

There was a gap in the front where I believe there was once a drawer.

My hubby put a piece of wood to cover the gap and I added this brass rose plaque that I found at a thrift store...

Just love the detail on the rose plaque...My old painting techniques not so much :-)

Well, in light of my poor first attempts to antique, distress and weather it, I thought it was long over due for a redo. So this is what it looks like now.

So what do you think?

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs and Kisses,

It's beautiful Ana! I love how you added the plaque to it, that was an ingenious idea & it gave it even more charm. If the previous owners could see it now, they'd probably want their table back! LOL

It is just beautiful. I will be trying to find something like that to do in my living room when I finish up our bedroom. If that ever gets done.
