Curbside Treasure 2:

Hi Everyone!

I had almost forgotten I told you in a previous post (here) that I would share with you my other most recent curbside treasure find. Well, here it is...

Isn't it awesome? I'm calling it a linen chest because...

Look at all the storage I can use for my dining room linens.

It's missing the bottom drawer but still has the drawer front...Can you see the doors knobs in there?

Can't believe how lucky I got. Love this piece but....

I'm not sure what I want to do to it yet...It's the biggest piece of furniture I'll tackle yet and I'm a little unsure of what to do.

Should I paint it or stain it to match my dining room table top? What should I do to the drawer? Maybe make a new one or just add some hinges to the drawer front and make it a door that opens up. Or maybe I should just leave it open and add some baskets. What to do? Any suggestions? I'd love to hear them.

Hugs and Kisses,

This cabinet is just beautiful! I would just leave it as is! I would add baskets. You can use the door somewhere else :)

Hello dearest Ana,
That is a fabulous cabinet, especially for the price!
You could paint it white, but it really does look great just like it is. I don't know what to suggest, I know whatever you do it will look just wonderful.
Big hugs, Cindy

This has got to be your greatest find yet! It's beautiful & all that storage too. I'm not sure what you should do to it though. I am terrible at making those kind of decisions. I know that whether you paint or leave as is, it'll look spectacular.

I wouldn't touch it but just dress any boo-boo's with a small stain to give it even more aged appearances. That is just one gorgeous piece, Ana. Don't paint it, please. It looks wonderful just as she stands.

What a beautiful display you can for each season upon her. She's going to love being dressed up.
Have a beautiful week ~

Hi Anna, that is a neat piece of furniture, I'm in to painted furniture, so if I was you, I would paint it and put some baskets where the drawer is missing to hold silverware, napkins, napkin rings, etc. for your dining room, can't wait to see it transformed.
Have a lovely day!

Ok, I am going to start walking down your street and see what I can find. That is just so great. I think it would look great with baskets or boxes on the bottom shelf.

wow..it's gorgeous! it's amazing what some people will discard! I love it just the way it is but i am a sucker for anything painted and distressed these days!

Wow, that was thrown out. It amazes me what people call trash. Definitely add baskets to the bottom. The color it is looks fine, but painted wouldn't look bad either.

You could almost slide some board games in the bottom part of that piece of work.

Wow, I have been lost in your fabulous blog!! I have just spent forever cruising the pages! You will have to decide to paint or leave the outside finish. I would leave the inside drawers instead of baskets. I would do something eye catching on the drawer fronts, a bright colored paint or a French graphics paper, or vintage wallpaper, something fun!

Hi Ana,
Wow! I love it..what a great find. I think you could paint it back and distress it to match your dinning room table also add the baskets below. I love the pull out drawers! I painted my kitchen table now I have to paint the buffet. What ever you decide it will be fabulous for sure.
Have a sweet day and big hugs, Elizabeth

What an awesome find and FREE?? Great curbside treasure. I like to paint things so if it were mine, I would paint it. I would also find a basket(s) that would fit in the empty drawer space.

What a fabulous find! Can't believe it! I love it as is, however, I think it might be more interesting painted. Every room needs something painted (besides the wall). I wouldn't hesitate to paint it creamy white and distress it! Linda

Querida Ana,
Vaya hallazgo!
