Christmas Season

Hi Everyone!

Today is officially the beginning of the Christmas season here at A Petite Cottage...Yay! And traditionally we like to start decorating for Christmas the weekend right after Thanksgiving....I can't wait!

I've always love to decorate with traditional colors like red, green and gold but once in a while I like to throw in something new. Last year I had the idea of adding a bit of leopard print to the mix but couldn't really find anything so I decided to make some of these...

Leopard print paper stars.

And this year I'll be adding these as well....

I made these a few weeks ago and I just couldn't wait to share them with you.

Made from some recycled items like a leopard print skirt from the thrift store, some old ornaments and some vintage buttons and button covers...

Plus a few new items too, like the crochet roses and pretty ribbon.

And what about you? Have you started decorating for Christmas yet?

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today, I always enjoy the company.
Hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving Day.

Hugs and Kisses,

Love your leopard skin ornaments!

I haven't started decorating for Christmas - I'm going to be really busy with work for the next couple of weeks, so I'm trying to concentrate on that, and will start to decorate on December 10, when I can relax and enjoy the process :)

I will probably be going with a blue, white and silver theme, because that works very well with my decor.

Hi Ana, hope you had a lovely thanksgiving day. Your stars and ornaments are great. I bought some plain stars last year that I had planned to decoupage but never did. Guess I should dig them out and do something with them. Have a happy holiday weekend. Tammy

Very original! You're really good with the decorations. and as always full of imagination. I had never seen that color ornaments.
Here is in fashion this year for the purple tree or decorations. But I'm very traditional and I keep my green tree, decorated with silver and blue. But every year I add a decoration, an angel. I like my tree full of angels. Even I can not wait to do the tree, I just know that we do tomorrow (Sunday) A Christmas hug my sweet friend

I usually wait to decorate the 2nd wk in Dec. as we get a real tree. For the past 2 yrs. it's been a artificial tree for us. I would love a real tree again, this year. All filled with Vintage ornaments.
What a beautiful tree! Now, you can relax somewhat!
Have a great weekend

Good Morning Ana!

Thank you so much for the sweet Thanksgiving note! You are such a dear (cyber)friend.

I have just decorated the Clubhouse at my sister's condo. We aer having our family Christmas there this year. A huge space that we can all fit into.

I love your leopard print ornaments. Your tree will be fabulous--that's for sure--and one of a kind. That is what makes life fun--it is full of so many wonderful things and everyone has their own special designs which makes for a much less boring world!

I love your Christmas banner too! Have a great CREATIVE week!

Those leopard print ornaments are so cool. The ribbon and buttons make them so pretty. I can't believe you made those. Yes, we've been decorating too, and the girls just made wreaths for themselves. When I came over, I noticed the red rose on your HEADER. Ahhhhh, I started to smile right away. I hope you have so many wonderful moments this holiday season. I'll be back to visit with you.

Ana, the ornaments are adorable!!! They have made me smile on this cold, snowy morning. Can you believe it is snowing here in Alabama? :/
