A childhood dream come true....

When I was a little girl, one of my grandmother's sisters use to craft these cute little chairs out of tin cans. I just thought they were the most beautiful things I had ever seen in my life. Secretly I would dream that one day I would own one of these precious little chairs. I'd always hope that she would see in my little girl eyes just how much I loved and wanted one and that she would give me one...But sadly that never happened.

Isn't it amazing the things/memories we hold on to? But don't be sad for me, there is a happy ending to this story. After 38+ years, my little girl dream of owning one of these cute little chairs has come true... and at a thrift store, of all places. Look what I found.

38+ years later and I still think they are beautiful...Such a sweet craft.

I ♥ Thrift stores....Truly, magical places where dreams can come true...Hee, hee, hee. Never know what treasures await you at a thrift store.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
I always enjoy the company.

Hugs and Kisses,

Oh girly...how sweet this is. Wanna know something? My hubby made these years ago. When we first started dating he gave me a little chair he made that was painted black with a red seat. It was lost long ago in a move...:( This was a JOY to see!

oh this brings back soo many memories! when i was a teenager, i volunteered in the arts and crafts room at a senior center. One of the projects was to make these sweet little pieces of furniture out of tin cans. I made a complete set for my mother for mother's day...a settee, a rocker, a chair and a footstool. On my last visit home to maine, she gave them to me!!! I still remember how to make them so if you would like a quick "tutorial" i'd be happy to share it with you!

Hi Ana, I have a little chair similar to yours in my China cabinet that I was given a long time ago. It is funny what we collect and the memories that are made. Yours is so unique. A belated Happy Valentine's. Your Missouri Friend.

Ana!! beautiful remember that you made me back in mind!! is true, the living rooms of metal and ceramic! I remember when I was little, old ladies had almost all. they were sitting (sofa and two chairs, perhaps there was also a small table stretched) Well not quite the same as yours. were of white ceramic with pretty colored floral designs. unfortunately I can not see around anymore for many years. here, more or less were so

That little chair is absolutely precious. I can't even imagine crafting with tin cans since I just cut myself on one yesterday. Definitely takes patience and safety first. :) Best wishes to you, Tammy

I had never seen one of these, Ana. How incredibly creative!! When I was first married (18) I used to wash and save my cans because I was just sure there was something that could be done with them... little did I know...

So glad your dream has come true. blessings ~ tanna
