Vintagey Chic

The other day, while surfing the net, I came across a free, vintage style, hot pad, crochet pattern here. It reminded me of some my mom use to have when I was a little girl so I just had to give one a try.
I used cotton crochet thread by Sugar N' Cream in a creamy and peachy color.
I thought it would be fun to give my pictures a little vintage feel to go with the vintage style hot pad
and my vintage O'Keefe and Merritt stove with a fun filter I found on Photobucket.
Kinda vintagey chic, don't you think?

Hope the weather is treating you well.  Stay cool my friends.

Hugs and Kisses,

So cute! I've been a knitter for decades and finally bought myself a how to crochet book. I wanted to teach myself to make granny square afghans in fun colors (like the scandinavian bloggers) before I had grandchildren. Well, they came along sooner than I thought, so I still haven't learned how. :(

I LOVE your vintage stove! A gorgeous piece of art for your kitchen. :@

I collected vintage crocheted potholders for years because they were all so whimsical. My favorites were the ones that looked like little dresses. But Oh! I love your stove. So jealous of that...wish I had one.

Thank you for the crochet pattern. Maybe my sister will crochet one for me, she is great at it.

Ana,
Did you make that hot pad? It's so pretty. My niece makes these all the time, and gives them away for Christmas. I love your stove. I am trying to stay cool. It's so hot here in California, and as I get older, I don't do well with the heat. Your blog post always makes me smile.

That's a darling little hotpad, I LOVE your stove, you're so blessed to have that vintage beauty in your pretty kitchen. It goes well with your farmhouse sink, doesn't it.
The filter did give the photo a vintage quality.

I have a super old oven that's at my lake and it's still running. They don't make stoves like they use too it seems.
