Golden Vignette

Hi Everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you a new little vignette I put together.

My inspiration was this...

My latest thrift store find.
Isn't it beautiful? I still can believe the treasures one can find at a thrift store...Anyway, when I first bought it I thought of painting it white and "shabbitizing" it, but now I'm not too sure...
This is the vignette I put together with the gold wing as my inspiration. I think all the gold accents work well together.
So I think that in this particular vignette the wing in gold works best, but I would love it in white too.... I don't know what to do. What do you think? Leave it alone or paint it?
Here's a few more pictures of the vignette.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
I always enjoy your company.
Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Oh, and a special "thank you" on behalf of my daughter and me to all our sweet blogging friends for your kind birthday wishes. She had a "awesome birthday"...her words.

Hugs and Kisses,

I'm glad your daughter had an awesome birthday, she is so beautiful! Love that vignette Ana, I say leave the wings gold for some time, then maybe for spring paint them white and that will change the look completely.
Have a fantastic day!

What a pretty find! Hmmm, I like it as is, although white would be nice too. Sorry, I'm no help!

Can't believe you found THAT at the thrift store!! I am so in to gold right now ....think you should leave it, BUT white sanded to show the gold would be awesome too! Beautiful vignette! :)

I love the cloche with the ceramic balls. I have almost every letter of the alphabet in the ball and like to use them in vignettes. I do not own a cloche, but am beginning to think I need to go out and find one.

Hi Ana,

Love your gorgeous golden vignette and I would leave it gold, if it was me.
Glad that your daughter had an awesome birthday.
Many thanks for visiting me and hope that you are enjoying the week

I think it is perfect in gold for now. Looks wonderful with what you have here! Love all your items here. Later you can paint it white and it will be like brand new and you can enjoy that too :) That wing was a great find!

I would definitely not paint it. I think your vignette is beautiful and all the gold bits do look lovely together. Have a great day! Tammy

I can't believe you found that beautiful wing at the thrift store! It looks lovely just as it is in your pretty vignette, but I could see it painted white, too. I'm having the same dilemma about a small mirror I bought at an estate sale, but I have no gold accents in the room....oh wait! The chandelier is gold. Decisions, decisions!

I love this arrangement. It is gorgeous. And the gold mixed in is a wonderful touch to it all.

The wing is beautiful just as it is, and it works beautifully in your little "golden vignette", but if it ends up not working anywhere then you can always shabbitize it at that point. That's always the way I work anyway. Never say never!
Love and hugs, Cindy

You know how I get distracted easily so I'm answering the last first and get over with it. Keep it gold! It has such a lovely patina, not some "where are my sunglasses so I can show you my new thrift finding" gold ahahahahahah

Second and the only important - because whatever you do with it it will lokk great - what an amazing vignette you created!!! Congratulations! Love the background for all and your wedding pictures melted my heart - how sweet it is to see that you didn't - really - change but everything changed for the best, since that Blessed Day.

Happy Valentine's!

Teresa (going back to the blog and enjoy all the details. Again ;))

I would leave it gold; it's patina is beautiful, and it's beautiful to mix metals. In my opinion, shabby chic white can be overdone sometimes.

Oh Ana, this is a beautiful vignette! I don't know how I missed this post. It's amazing what you created from "a gold wing of inspiration." :) I love the frame with the music pages too. It's all perfectly done!
