Wire Basket Project-Part 2

Hi Everyone!

Here I am again, as promised. So what did I do with the made-over wire baskets?
They were the perfect size for my repurposed CD tower that I have in my new sewing space.
Now-a-days music can easily be bought and down loaded on-line so I think physical CDs are slowly becoming obsolete and so are CD towers...or are they?
Not if Hubby can help it :-) Using the tower for storage in my new sewing space was his idea.  WAGI Babe! Even though the cubbies are a bit small they still make for great storage spaces.
The above are vintage spice jars filled with my vintage button collection, both of which  I've had forever.
I love how the baskets turned out. I think they look great.
The cubbies are also the perfect size to hold some of my stationary.
Last three cubbies have these baskets, which are also thrift store finds. I do wish I would have found more wire baskets for the rest of the cubbies but three were all I found. But these wood strip baskets work well too...Hey, more storage, I'm not complaining...Hee, hee. hee. Maybe I should just give them a little makeover too...Any ideas?

So my new little sewing/craft space is coming along and I think it is in fair shape...I hope fair enough for showing at Karen's annual "Where Bloggers Create." I have wanted to join for so long but never had a space to share...not until now, Yay!!! Can't wait. Hope you'll stop by over at My Desert Cottage this Saturday, July 11th to visit others participating or maybe even participate yourself. See you there.

Great reuse of the cd stand. We have a box of cds around here that we never use. The storage towers we used to have are long gone. I still use cds in the car. And believe it or not, have never once downloaded music to anything. :) Have a great day. Tammy

Hi Ana. The baskets turned out great and what a useful (and pretty) space to use them in. I might think about joining up for Where I create but I would have to do some housecleaning first!! Thanks for your kind comments to me and for the Chalk pen info. I will pick one up..Happy Thursday..Judy

Good Morning,
What a clever Idea! well of course... you are so creative and saved the life of a CD holder.
I love it in the corner its the perfect spot for it and we always need more storage space, that's for sure. I love having a sewing room, may times my room can get a little messy with fabric and notions about while creating a quilt , so I can just close the door so no one can see my mess LOL .
Sending you love and hugs, I posted the other day. I think I'm ready now. Thank you for all your love, one day we will be having lunch together.

Your baskets look amazing, Ana. Now I wish I had kept my CD tower. It was a special one, too. Made to look like a very tall bird house. I can see it in my mind, all repainted in chalk paint. Maybe another one will turn up. Great ideas here.

Dearest Ana,
Lovely transformation and who would have thought of using spice jar bottles for vintage buttons. Very unique and I love that!
Wishing you a happy upcoming weekend.
Hugs,

What a lovely view. It made me smile instantly when I saw the first picture - that's when I know something is pretty AWEsome.
This is! This qualifies as absolutely and utterly awesome.
I love each detail. I love your storage of vintage buttons... reminds me a Dear Uncle's Taylor's Workshop.
So I'm still smiling and want to return to the post.
Well done, Lovely Lady.

You have put that old CD stand to great use!. I love the mix of metal and wicker baskets, which are perfect for items that might go through the metal ones. You've created a smart area to keep supplies handy!!! Mickie

Dear Ana, what a lovely revamping of the old CD tower you have achieved!!!!!!!!! I love the colours of your sewing corner. The wire backets did fit perfectly and I also like the wicker baskets. As for the vintage buttons, they are so beautifully displayed in the old spice jars!!!!

I absolutely love what you have done with your CD tower and I love anything with wire baskets.

I will have to do a post on how I repurposed our CD tower. It is also in one of my creative spaces.
