Tickled Pink

It is a time to celebrate!

This is my beautiful sister Lucia ...most everyone knows her as Lucy. About 7 months ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It has been a hard and trying journey for her, but her faith, courage and strength in the Lord have pulled her through. She has been through several surgeries and both chemo and radiation therapy and I am tickled PINK to announce that this week was her last week of the radiation treatments. I am also overjoyed to announce that she is doing very well. Doesn't she look beautiful?

In the hospital...Her last day of radiation therapy. Yay!!!

In celebration I made her this cute little PINK dove.

I love you Lucy and I am very blessed to have such a wonderful sister.

Just a quick reminder that today is PINK SATURDAY over at Beverly's, How Sweet the Sound. Please pay her a visit and while you're there check out what others are sharing on this fabulous PINK SATURDAY. Thank you so much for stopping by and for joining me in the celebration of this grandiose occasion.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings to All!

Hugs and Kisses,

Oh Ana!
Congratulations to Lucy. I will continue to keep her in my prayers. She is truly beautiful. I love the little pink dove that you made for her. It is so beautiful, just like Lucy. I bet she loved this little gift from your heart.

Please tell her so many are praying for her. I pray when they do the next SCAN they find nothing. We will be holding her up in prayer.

Take care Ana. Please pop over and visit my blog. I would so love to have you stop by,

Country hugs, Sherry

Good Morning Ana...Tickled Pink AND you should be!! That is wonderful news!! I am so happy for Lucy. She is truly a beautiful and blessed woman.

I am a 13 year cancer survivor! PTL...God is good! I took 44 radiation treatments, so I know a little bit about what she has/is going thru. It is the "effectual fervent prayers" and FAITH that will carry her on!

That pink dove is absolutely gorgeous!! What a heartfelt gift to make for her. I can see your love and support for her, just by reading your postings. You are both blessed to have each other!

Have a great weekend!

Ana, you sure do look alot like your sister!! :-) My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last year and went thru the same treatments as your dear Lucy. Radiation, chemo, and opertions, the works. she lost her hair, wore a wig and looked adorable in it, but never lost her positive attitude thru out it all. She even continued to work thru the entire months of her treatments, knowing that keeping her usual rythum of life was keeping her going. She has been back for testing and is cancer free right now. I will keep your sister in my thoughts that her wellness and health continues, I could not be happy to read that things are going well for her. always remain positive about it, it works wonders!!! hugs, Debby

Your sister is so beautiful, Ana! I am so glad she is doing well--I will pray for her. You might be interested in putting her in touch with Dina of "Can I Be Pretty in Pink?" You may know her already, but if you don't, she, too, was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, and her blog chronicles her journey of hope as she has coped with this disease. The pink bird you made is gorgeous--you are so talented! Thanks for sharing your post.
