A Bit Of Halloween Decor

Welcome Everyone....
Won't you come in and see what I've done to our petite cottage for Halloween?

Oh, don't be scared...It's not a real skull...Hee, hee, hee.
It's a traditional "calavera" (skull) very popular in Mexico during El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November.
The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed on.I found this one at the Swap Meet this past weekend...Isn't it pretty? Can I even say that about a skull? Hee, hee, hee. Look at the pretty little bird design on it. When I showed it to my hubby he said, "You would find a skull with birds on it." He knows how much I love little birdies...:-)
The mantel got a little Halloween makeover too.
Kinda spooky huh? Actually I just stopped dusting for a couple of days and there you have it...cobwebs and spookiness...Hee, hee, hee.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope you come again soon.
Have a spooktacular day everyone!.

Hugs and Kisses,

Your Halloween decor is wonderful! You managed to find a pretty cute is that?
I also have to tell you that you have a talent for that cobweb stuff. I tried some & it just doesn't look as perfect as yours. Yours looks authentic!

Love your decorations, Ana. So not into the orange, but your whites are so fun & refreshing for the season.

Oooh Ana, I love it all!... you know me and Halloween... my favorite holiday... all of your decorations are really spooktacular... love the Dia de los Muertos skeleton... my sister decorates so much for that day as well... I have given her many "muertos" throughout the years... love the tradition and meaning behind it all... we even buy Pan de los Muertos at a little bakery in Salt Lake City each year...her altars for our loved ones who have passed on are so pretty... I love that you celebrate that day as well... your photos all look so cute in black and white too!... I think I will quit dusting for a week and see if I can get that same look!... much love to you, xoxo Julie Marie

Hi Ana,

I enjoyed seeing your Halloween decorations and especially love the black and white photographs.
The cobwebs are neat and one time when they are actually ok to be there.

Hope that you are having a lovely week
