I'm Thankful For...Day 21

Today I'm thankful for...

Family Treasures.

They are little treasured pieces that once belong to a family member that serve as reminders of just how special they are to me and which help keep them close to me always.

This towel was macrame by my great-grandmother...From my dad's side. It's just beautiful.

What are you thankful for today?

Wishing you a beautiful day.

Hugs and Kisses,

I'm first today, dear Ana,
Oh my, I am thankful for a warm home today! It is -21 C outside today! I am going to go for a walk and when I return I will be doubly grateful for a good working furnace that keeps us toasty warm.
Have a sweet day, darling friend.
Hugs, cindy

Lovely work! I am enjoying your thankful posts. :D

I love the one about humor. I cannot tell you how many times my daughter has either called from college about laundry, or has simply brought it home because she does not know what to do.

I completely agree. I have my aunt's collection of blue willow dishes and some other treasures she and my grandmother collected and I use them, touch them, and clean them every day. Every touch evokes a treasured memory for me. My kids call them "old-fashioned" now, but I hope one day they appreciate their beauty, charm, timelessness and gentle reminder of former lives as much as I do. Even the pieces I've bought at antique stores to supplement cause me pause when I think of the tables they've graced and conversations they've hard and lives they've embellished. Happy Thanksgiving - - so many things to be thankful for.

Such a beautiful thing to have and more precious when it is made by a family member.

Hi Ana,

I love your sweet cloth from your Grandmother, it is so pretty.
I used to do macrame making potplant holders.
I am thankful for being able to do a workout and to try and keep fit and healthy. Always so good when you finish.

Have a happy week
