A tiny bit of patriotic decor

Hello Everyone!
I can't believe the 4th of July is just around the corner. It sure did sneak up on me...I usually don't decorate too much for the 4th, but here are a couple of pictures of the little that I did do...
Our home computer is acting up and I wasn't able to write my post on it like I usually do....So I used my iPad. Wrote the post and took the pictures on it...even used a photo editing app to embellish the pics a bit...What do you think?
Made this ruffled flag pillow last year. Just love the look. I have one similar up for sale on my Etsy shop if anyone is interested :-)

What about you? Do you decorate for the 4th of July?

Little Treasures

Cookie: "Watcha doin' Mami?"

Me: "Well sweetie pie, I'm trying to think of something to blog about today."

Cookie: "Oh I know Mami...why don't you blog about the place mat my friend Ally made for me?"

Me: "No, I've already posted about that."

Cookie: "How about posting about the bed you made for me out of an old drawer?"

Me: "Nope, I've posted about that already too."

Cookie: "Or how about posting about how much I love my toy that my friends Tessy and Julie Marie gave me?

Me: "Hmmm, you do love that toy, but no I don't think so."

Cookie: "Okay then, why don't you write about that little treasure you found at the thrift store that you've been raving about?"

Me: "Oh yeah, my little vintage match box, good idea Cookie."

Me: "It always amazes me what one can find at thrift store. Love the little crown."

Me: "And can you believe all the cute little white matches are still inside? Definitely one of my favorite thrifty finds. Do you have a favorite thrifty find? I'd love to hear about it."

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Summer Vacay!

Graduation ceremonies and get-togethers are over, last day of school hustle and bustle is over, Father's Day celebrations are over so you know what that means, don't you?....

(Cute little "Vacation Count Down" was found by my daughter at one of our favorite thrift stores.)

**Summer Vacay has Officially Started**

As a stay-at-home mom I am on the clock 24/7/365....So being able to sleep in a bit during the summer because school is out well, certainly feels like a vacation to me....Hee, hee, hee.

I am so looking forward to all the summer fun with my daughter. What about you? Do you have any summer plans?

Wishing everyone a fantabulous day!

Pallet Box

Hello my sweet blogging friends.

Today I would like to share with you the second project I've been working on...A box made out of an old pallet.
Well, to be totally honest, all I really did on this project was the sanding, finishing and decorating...Hubby did the hard and scary parts...the sawing, drilling and hammering. Oh wait! I also did the bit of nagging persuading it took to get the hubs to help. Hee, hee, hee.
In case you're wondering where I got the pallet to make the box...Well, a few months ago hubby bought something online and it was delivered on a pallet.  Lucky moi!
I found these beautiful vintage drawer pulls at a thrift store for mere pennies and thought they would make the perfect handles and accents to my box.

I love the rustic beauty of it and love how it turned out...Hubby and I do make a great team.

Thank you all for stopping by for a visit.
Let me know what you think of my our project :-)

A cover for my i...

Although there is no traditional gift allocated for the 19th wedding anniversary the modern gift for this particular milestone is bronze...But I don't believe my hubby knew that because he surprised me with this instead...

An iPad...and it's WHITE...He knows me well.  Anyway, needless to say, I love, love, love my gift, but this isn't what I wanted to share with you today. I wanted to share one of the projects I've been working on... a cover for my i...iPad that is ;-)

I had originally bought this pink (my absolute favorite color) cover for my pad, but it just wasn't exactly all me. So since I can never leave well enough alone...
I ended up covering the cover...Hee, hee, hee.
Here's a close up.
And this is the inside. I used all materials and supplies I already had so the cost was zero dollars. What do you think?

I can't wait to show you what else I've been busy working on this week...Will be sharing soon, so come back and visit again.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Sometimes I wish...

I had more hands.

Not exactly what I mean...Hee, hee, hee.
(My newest treasure. A beautiful wood manikin hand.)

I'll have my hands full with projects I'll be working on this week...Sometimes I wish I had more hands so I could finish faster... Can't wait to show you.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and creative new week.
