Sideboard Vignette

Hi Everyone!

How's this new year treating you so far?

It's been a little rough start for me...But finally today things seem to be a little more back to normal. I even had a chance to work on a new vignette for my french style sideboard. Would you like to see?
Simple yet chic...I hope :-)
I'm using this shoe form as a sort of stand to display my vintage postcards.
This pretty magnifying glass was a Marshall's find.
I try to add a little bird theme item to all my vignettes....just love them.
Thank you my sweet friends for stopping by for a visit.
I do hope you will come and visit again soon.

The pitter patter...

of little feet will soon fill the lives of my brother-in-law and his wife.
They are expecting their first baby and you know what that means...

Auntie Ana gets to spoil him....Yay!!!

So my very first gift to my soon to arrive baby nephew is something I made him with lots of love...
A little something to keep his sweet little head and
cute little toes warm and cozy plus...
a little friend to keep him company while he takes his naps.

We are all excited about meeting the new addition to the family especially his favorite auntie...Me...Hee, hee, hee.

Delicately Pink

Disregard every thing you've heard about our state's amazingly perfect weather....
We've been having really crazy weather. One day it's freezing cold (well, for our standards anyway...Hee, hee, hee) other days we have Santa Ana weather. Crazy I tell you.
But this sweet little geranium has fought against all the craziness and survived. I don't think I've ever seen one bloom during this time of the year.
It is the softest shade of pink...my favorite color...And it has certainly brought  joy to my heart,
Just wanted to share with you hoping it brings joy
 to your heart too.

Feliz Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos

Happy Three Kings Day!!!

January the 6th is a special day in Mexico and in many other Latin American countries. It is the celebration known as "Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos" (Three Kings Day). The date marks the end of the twelve days of Christmas and commemorates the three wise men who traveled from very, very far, to bring gifts to the little baby Jesus.

When my sisters and I were little girls we would put our shoes out on the porch the night before in hopes that the Magi would bring us a little something.
The magic of Christmas was stretched out just a tiny bit more for us and it was truly magical.

May the magic continue all year long for you.

Hugs and Kisses,
